Easier treatment of challenging patients

Blockages, recurrent infection, spasms, difficult insertion, traumatic removal, poor drainage and premature balloon deflation. These are just some of the challenges faced by nurses every day when dealing with catheterised patients.1 Our range of catheter tips are designed to solve the problems that individual patients experience, because every patient is different.

Trauma-free insertion and removal

Every adult catheter from LINC has integrated balloon technology which incorporates the balloon within the wall of the catheter. This makes the catheter a uniform width along the whole length for easy insertion and ensures that when you deflate the balloon, there is no cuff formation.2 This eliminates the pain and trauma associated with cuffed balloons.3,4

Reduced blockages thanks to better drainage

LINC catheters are made of 100% silicone. Silicone catheters have 50% extra drainage compared to the equivalent size of latex catheter.4–6 This can reduce the number of catheter blockages.

Safe for all of your patients

Our medical grade, biocompatible silicone is of the highest quality. And unlike latex, our 100% silicone catheters do not cause reactions in latex-sensitive patients.4,7

Less catheter changes

LINC catheters are available with a pre-filled syringe of 5% glycerine solution which has been proven to reduce premature balloon deflation. This solution equalises the osmotic pressure between the balloon and urine and helps the catheter to stay put for the 12 weeks dwell time.4,8
