I requested free samples of the Optitip® catheter from you and I received two to try. I had one fitted by my District Nurse today and would like to give you feedback. What a difference I didn’t feel the insertion or inflation and no after effects. My District Nurse was so impressed she asked to take the sleeve and information with her. She had recently attended a catheter training course but was unaware of the new range of catheters you offer. I will be reporting back to my local Health Board Anerin Bevan and request that the Optitip® is added to my prescription.

Since using the new style Optitip® catheter for some months, I have found I have not had as many infections, problems such as blockages, or discomfort as I had with the original National Health ones.

The main problem I have found with all catheters is the suction on the mucosa. The Optitip® is the only catheter I know that greatly alleviates from this problem. I used the Optitip® for 6
weeks. In that time I had no infection issues and no blockages…I have had no spasms in the bladder since using this type of catheter. It is simply amazing.

I am currently in an advanced stage of multiple sclerosis and have been using suprapubic catheters since 2010. Over time I had been having problems with catheters causing pain in the bladder and painful spasms of bladder and legs which occasionally affected my bowels as well.

The Optitip® catheter has greatly, greatly improved my quality of life! I no longer have bladder pains from pointed catheter tips and therefore have no catheter induced spasms of bladder, legs or bowels. A huge bonus is that I realised that my bladder infection occurrences have dripped a significant amount, I estimate 85%.
